At 13:51 hours Stations 51, 53 and 55 Ambulance were dispatched for a reported electrical fire inside in the 1100 block of Laura Lane in West Goshen Township. Reports from the caller indicated that the cable line behind their TV was burning. 55-20 arrived on location within minutes and reported a fire in the living room.
Ladder 53 arrived and reported a two story, single family dwelling, with smoke showing. The crew from Ladder 53 located a small room and contents fire on the first floor and was able to hold the fire to the room of origin with a water can. Engine 51-1 arrived stretching an attack line to the front door and extinguishing the remaining fire.
WCFD crews ventilated and checked for extension.
PECO electric was requested to the scene along with Chester County Fire Marshals and Air 52. The assignment was held to Engine 51-1 who assisted the fire marshals with their investigation. Engine 51-1 cleared the scene at approximately 16:30 hours. The fire is under investigation by the Chester County and West Goshen Township Fire Marshals Offices. There were no reported injuries.
