This afternoon just before 3pm, Stations 51,52 and 53 were dispatched to the 1100 block of Talleyrand Road in Westtown Township for the reported house fire. Initial reports were "flames from the attic". While responding, Chief 53 was advised that police were on location with "heavy fire showing". With this information Chief 53 upgraded this to the Working Fire Dispatch adding stations 54 & 56 as well as Advanced Life Support from Medic 91.
As West Chester and mutual aid units arrived water supply was established from a nearby hydrant and companies went in service with master stream operations. Once the fire was under control units went interior to complete overhaul.
The last units picked up and returned available just before 6pm.
