| On Friday, February 17, 2012, Stations 51 and 53 were dispatched for a house fire in the 1000 block of Regimental Drive in East Bradford Township. Reports to Chester County 911 indicated that the caller's house was full of smoke and everyone was evacuated. Engine 51-1 and Ladder 53 arrived on location with smoke showing for side "A".
Captain 51 assumed interior and reported a fire in the basement. Assistant 53 arrived and established the "Regimental Drive" Command. Engine 51-1 stretched a line inside locating a room and contents fire in the basement which was quickly extinguished. Crews from 51 and 53 checked for extension and ventilated. The fire was contained to the room of origin.
Engine 51-1 remained on scene while the fire was investigated by the Chester County and State Police Fire Marshals. WCFD units operated for just over an hour before returning to service |
