| Just after 0600 hours on November 26, Station 51 was dispatched with Stations 39 and 46 for the reported house fire in the 600 block of Spruce Drive in West Bradford Township. Calls to Chester County 911 from the occupants reported a fire in the basement. Engine 39-3 was the first unit to arrive onscene reported smoke from Side A.
As the crew from Engine 39-3 began to investigate, Tanker 39 and Engine 51-2 arrived. Tanker 39 established the water supply while the crew from Engine 51-2 went to backup the crew from 39-3. LT 51B established the “Spruce Drive Command” and reported a single family dwelling with a small fire in the basement. Interior reported that the fire appeared to be out and crews were checking for extension. 46-20 arrived and established the “Spruce Drive CP”.
Additional units from Stations 39 and 46 arrived and assisted with overhaul and ventilation. Engine 51-1 was diverted to standby at Station 39. The Chester County and local Fire Marshals responded to the scene for the investigation. Engine 51-2 cleared the scene at 0730 hours. |
