| On Wednesday September 11, members Nick Braccia and John Morris took time out of their day of remembrance to search out new volunteers to join the Fightin' 51 Engine. The crew went to the West Chester University Volunteer Fair and set up a table with information, tools, and gear. Many questions were asked and in the end the men came back with a dozen or so interested college students.
One call for service was handled during the event. Engine 51-1 was dispatched to an automatic fire alarm, which was found to be a system malfunction and returned to the event.
