West Chester Borough - Just after 1:00 AM this morning the WCFD was dispatched for an automatic fire alarm activation at 3 West Gay Street, West Chester Borough.

Arriving units found a smoke condition inside the property and the incident was upgraded to a building fire alerting the remainder of the WCFD and assist companies.

After a search of the building the cause of the incident was found to be burnt food in the kitchen area.
