Attached is a letter from West Chester Fire Chief Stephen Pelna concerning the Fire Department’s recent ISO rating.

We are excited to announce, as of June 1st, 2023, the West Chester Fire Department (WCFD) has improved our Public Protection Classification (PPC) score analyzed by Insurance Services Office (ISO) to a 03/3Y. ISO is an independent, for-profit organization who evaluates public fire-protection services and classifies a community’s ability to suppress fires. The PPC system provides an objective, national standard to assist in determining property insurance costs as well as other planning and budgetary objectives.
