5 County Fire Task Force Drill

On Sunday, May 7, a crew with Engine 51-2 participated in the annual 5 county Fire Task Force drill. This year's drill was held in Montgomery County. Engine 51-2 was detailed to Chester County Task Force 1, which also comprised of Engine 2-2 (Berwyn), Engine 65 (Phoenixville), and Tower 47 (Lionville).

Task Force 1 participated in multiple scenarios including a high-rise fire and MVA with fire and entrapment. Engine 51-2 returned to the Borough shortly after 1400 hours.

Chester County Fire Task Force 1 is part of the Southeastern Pennsylvania Regional Task Force which utilizes resources from Chester, Montgomery, Bucks, Delaware, and Philadelphia Counties. In the event of a large scale incident in one of these counties, the Task Forces can be quickly deployed to proved organized mutual aid.
