At 09:10 am, Chester County 911 received a call for a roof on fire in the 400 block of N Everhart Street in West Chester Borough. West Chester Police arrived in the area and updated the location to Hannum Gardens on Downingtown Pike, reporting a fire in a second floor bathroom.

Assistant 52 arrived and reported smoke showing from the roof of a two story town home. A working fire dispatch was requested. Engine 51-2 arrived as the first due engine, established a water supply, and stretched an attack line to the second floor where they found fire in the attic space. The fire was quickly brought under control as additional arriving units assisted with salvage and overhaul.

The company returned to quarters available in just under an hour.
