At 1942 hours Stations 51, 52, 53, 54 (RIT), and 55 Ambulance were dispatched to the unit block of Greenbank Avenue in West Goshen Township for a reported house fire. Initial calls to 911 stated that there were flames coming from the wood burning stove attached to the home. West Goshen Police quickly arrived and confirmed the report. With that information, Chief 53 upgraded the assignment to a working fire.

Engine 51-1 arrived as the first due engine and began fire suppression efforts followed immediately by Ladder 53. Engine 52-2 arrived and, along with Engine 51-2, secured a water supply while sending crews to assist with additional fire suppression efforts. All crews were quickly able to bring the fire under control at 2005 hours.

The incident is being investigated by the Chester County and West Goshen Township Fire Marshals offices.

While returning from the fire, Engine 51-1 assisted EMS with a medical call and the company answered two additional alarms before midnight.
