Just after 3:30 pm Station 51 was dispatched for an engine to assist Longwood Fire Company in the 1600 block of Washington Lane for a house fire. Initial calls were of an uncontained fire from a wood stove. Chief 25 arrived on location and confirmed fire in the walls of a single family dwelling. Engine 51-2 arrived as second due engine and began to secure the water supply for the first arriving engine. The crew assisted with checking the residence for extension and removing several pets. Crews cleared after 4:30 pm.
