Shortly after midnight a West Chester Police Department officer in the 200 block of West Chestnut Street alerted Chester County Fireboard of a house on fire. Stations 51, 53 (Fame Fire Company) and 55(Good Fellowship Ambulance) were dispatched for the building fire. Asst Chief 51 quickly arrived on location with a 3 story twin with fire showing and requested the working fire dispatch adding Station 52 (Goodwill Fire Co) and Station 56(Goshen Fire Company). West Chester Fire Department units quickly arrived on location and extinguished the remaining fire. All occupants were safely removed from the building and fire was extinguished. Thanks to quick actions from the WCPD, neighbors with extinguishers and the WCFD, damage to the home was kept to a minimum.

The WCFD must remind everyone to never go into a building that is on fire. Get out, stay out and call 911
