At approximately 2230 hours on New Year’s Eve, Station 51 was dispatched for an engine to relocate to Station 25 while their units operated at a working house fire in Kennett Square Borough. Moments after making the response, Chester County Fire Board redirected Engine 51-2 to the fire scene in the 200 Block of E Linden Street. Upon arrival, the crew from 51-2 was assigned the RIT division by Command. The crew was later supplemented by members from Delaware County Engine 46 and was eventually released by Command just after 0100 hours on January 1.
