One Extricated on Lancaster Avenue in Downingtown

While returning from an apartment fire in Downingtown Borough, units from 51 responded to an accident with unknown injuries at Lancaster Avenue and Bell Tavern Road in East Caln Township. Engine 51-2 quickly arrived on the scene and reported one subject still in the vehicle which required extrication due to mechanism of injury. Assistant 51 established the Lancaster Avenue Command and requested additional units to the scene. Crews from Stations 51, 06, and 35 (who was on standby in Downingtown for the apartment fire) worked to remove the victim who was then turned over to EMS.

Station 51 units cleared the scene just after 1350 hours.
