Strong storms moved through the area around 2000 hours last night bringing with them rain, wind, lightning and calls.

During the storm Engine 51-1 responded to an automatic fire alarm in the 500 block of South Maryland Ave in the borough.

Engine 51-2 responded to the Pocopson Home in Pocopson Township for a reported building fire. While on location crews were given the task of supporting Engine 36 with hooking up to the sprinkler/standpipe system as well as checking for smoke conditions on the 3rd, 4th, and 5th floors. After the situation was brought under control the call was held to Station 25 (Longwood) units.

Later in the night both engines responded for a wires down on a tree call in the 900 block of Springwood Drive.
