RIT to Downingtown

Shortly before 0600 Station 51 was alerted to assist Station 45 (Alert Fire Company No.1), Station 46 (Minquas Fire Company No.2), and Station 47 (Lionville Fire Company) with a reported shed fire. Engine 51-2 responded as the Rapid Intervention Team (RIT). Police and Downingtown chief officers were quickly on location with shed fire that had extended into a nearby mobile home. With this information the incident was upgraded to a working mobile home fire adding West Whiteland Fire Company. Crews from Downingtown, Lionville and West Whiteland stretched multiple lines while the crew from 51 stood by. Shortly after the fire had been extinguished and overhaul completed Engine 51-2 returned available.
