Shortly before 1800 stations 51, 53, and 55 Ambulance were dispatched to the 300 block of Macintosh Lane for a reported house fire. The caller reported a kitchen fire on the second floor. Assistant 51 went on location with smoke showing from a two story end of the row townhouse. Engine 51-1 dropped a supply line at Scotch Way and Macintosh Lane which was picked up by Engine 51-2. Crews from 51-1 stretched a 1 3/4" attack line to the second floor and extinguished the fire.

Working together crews from station’s 51 & 53 were quickly able to extinguish the fire and ventilate the structure. Units returned to service shortly after 1900.
