Shortly before 1730 hours, Station 51 was dispatched to the 200 block of North High Street at the Chester County Historical Society for an automatic fire alarm. Just after arriving on location Chester County Fire Radio alerted Asst 51 that they were dispatching a Chimney Fire in the 800 block of Brettingham Court. Asst 51 was quickly able to mitigate the fire alarm and redirect all 51 resources along with Station 52 and Ladder 53 to the Chimney Fire.

Asst 51 was first on location with a 2 story middle of the row town-home with nothing evident. Engine 51-1 was the first engine on location followed immediately by 51-2. Crews split between the roof and interior and went to work investigating an active chimney fire. After the fire in the firebox was extinguished and removed from the residence all floors were checked for signs of fire extension by crews from 51, 52 & 53. All searches were completed the incident was placed under control and units were returned available.
