Shortly before 0600 hours station 52 was alerted to the 200 block of East Gay Street at Domino’s Pizza for an automatic fire alarm. Within minutes the fire alarm was upgraded to a building fire adding 51 full company with passerby's reporting smoke coming from the roof of the building. Engine 52-2 arrived on location with smoke showing from the roof and quickly confirmed a working fire. Engine 51-2 arrived as second due engine and laid a second supply line to the scene. Crews pulled the backup line off 52-2 and assisted crews with fire suppression and ventilation. Despite the below freezing temperatures crews were able to quickly bring the fire under control and shortly after 08:00 hours 51 units returned available.
