| On Sunday, December 22, Stations 06, 51, and 56 were dispatched for a house fire in the 1200 block of Estate Drive in West Whiteland Township. Chief 06 arrived on location reporting a working fire with all occupants out and requested a 2nd alarm. With that report, Chester County Fire Board upgraded the assignment adding Station 52, Ladder 53, and Station 47 for the Rapid Intervention Team.
Chief 06 established the “”Estate Drive Command” while Assistant 51 established operations. Ladder 56 and Engine 06-2 arrived and began interior attack. Engine 51-2’s crew was directed to the roof for ventilation while the driver established a water supply at the closest hydrant. Engine 51-1 arrived and assisted interior crews by checking for extension and starting salvage and overhaul operations.
Final West Chester units cleared the scene after operating for just over an hour. The fire is under investigation by the Chester County Fire Marshals Office. |
