  Welcome to the Official Website for the First West Chester Fire Company

The First West Chester Fire Company is one of three 100% volunteer fire companies that make the West Chester Fire Department. The Station is located at South Bradford Avenue and West Miner Street in East Bradford Township.  The First West Chester Fire Company provides fire/rescue coverage to West Chester Borough, as well as West Goshen, East Bradford, Westtown, Birmingham, and Thornbury Townships. As the oldest company in the West Chester Fire Department, our volunteer organization has been proudly serving our communities since 1799.

Assist to West Whiteland

Early this morning just before 3:30am Station 51 was dispatched to assist Station 06 (West Whiteland Fire Company) in the 1300 block of Phoenixville Pike with a dwelling fire. Engine 51-2 and Squad 51 quickly responded as R.I.T for the incident. First arriving units located a single family dwelling with fire showing. Units assisted on scene until just after 5:30am.

First Due Fire

Just before 8pm WCFD units were alerted to the 500 Block of West Market Street for a reported dwelling fire. Multiple 911 calls were received stating the rear porch of a residence was on fire. WCPD were quickly on location confirming the report of the rear of a twin home on fire. Engine 51-2 quickly arrived with Ladder 53. Accident With Entrapment

Shortly after 9am as Engine 51-2 was clearing from a reported trash fire, Chester County fireboard dispatched an accident reported serious in the area of Rt 202 and Stanton Ave in Westtown Township. Engine 51-2 was added to the crash and arrived to find a two vehicle collision with one still inside a vehicle. Natural Gas and Electrical Emergencies PECO training

This weekend members attended a natural gas and electrical emergencies course, held by PECO at the PECO Fire Academy in Conshohocken. The course included a classroom session for Emergency Responders on the handling of natural gas and electrical emergencies, as well as a practical session on how to handle a natural gas fires and hazards. Travis Manion Heroes Run

On September 11th, members gathered along with hundreds of others to participate in this years' Heroes Run.
Members and their families walked and ran (some in full structural firefighting gear) between 1 mile and a full 5k.
