On August 31 at 12:40 am, the West Chester Fire Department was dispatched to the 200 block of Blue Rock Road in East Bradford Township for a house fire. Calls to Chester County 911 reported a house fully engulfed in flames. Engine 51-2 arrived on location and found a large multiple story dwelling with fire throughout and parts of the structure already collapsed. A supply line was laid up a neighbor's driveway where the crew set up for a defensive attack and a working fire dispatched was requested.

Engine 51-1 arrived as the second due engine and completed Engine 51-2's water supply. Additional arriving WCFD and Goshen Fire Company units assisted with fire suppression and overhaul. The Chester County Fire Marshals Office responded to investigate the cause of the fire.

Thank you to Good Fellowship EMS who provided crews with rehab during the nearly four hour long operation.

Final WCFD units cleared the scene just after 4:30 am.
