|Tragic Accident in West Goshen Township|

Just before midnight on Saturday, February 10, Station 51, along Rescue 53 and Good Fellowship EMS, was dispatched to the 1000 block of Pottstown Pike for an accident with entrapment. Calls to Chester County 911 reported a three vehicle accident with persons trapped and serious injuries. Units arrived determined that there were a total of 4 patients, two of which were trapped inside of a vehicle. Unfortunately, two of the subjects succumbed to their injuries at the scene.
Engine 51-2 was released after a short period of time by command. Additional units from the Department assisted the West Goshen Township Police Department with their investigation. The operator of the Volvo was transported to Paoli Hospital where she is being treated for non-life threatening injuries.
