First Due House Fire

Just before 4:30 pm on Easter Sunday, Stations 51, 52(Good Will Fire Co. No. 2), 53 (Fame Fire Co. No. 3), 55 (Good Fellowship Ambulance), and Tower 54 (Goshen Fire Co.) were dispatched to the 800 block of Jordan Road in East Bradford Township for a reported house fire. Initial callers were reporting flames from garage attached to house. The West Chester Police Department was quickly on location confirming a "working fire". Assistant 51 arrived to find a single family dwelling with heavy fire showing from first and second floor on sides "C" and "D". Engines 51-1 and 52-2 arrived together, secured a water supply, and began a coordinated fire attack with multiple lines. The fire was quickly brought under control containing the damage to the garage. Units cleaned up and returned available shortly after 6:30pm.
