Just before midnight on Saturday, February 25, Station 51 was alerted as the RIT assignment along with Ladder 53 for a reported commercial building fire assist to the Downingtown Fire Department. While Engine 51-2, Ladder 53, and Assistant 51 were enroute, Assistant 45 reported a malfunctioning refrigeration unit and returned the West Chester units.

Immediately after turning around, Engine 51-2, Ladder 53, and Assistant 51 responded to a pedestrian stuck in the 300 block of South High Street in West Chester Borough. Crews assisted EMS and provided scene control. West Chester crews cleared at 0015

Then, at 0432, Station 51 was dispatched with Station 52 for a tree fire to the rear of the McDonalds on East Gay Street in West Goshen Township. Assistant 51 arrived to find a small section of woods on fire. As Engine 51-1 arrived on the scene, Chester County Fire Board dispatched EMS to the Wawa across the street for a burn victim. Engine 51-1 responded to the Wawa where a subject was located in front of the store who had been burned by the fire in the woods. The crew from Engine 51-1 assisted EMS and cleared a short time later.

As the Engine crew was returning to the station, Station 54 was alerted to an auto storage yard in Westtown Township for multiple vehicles on fire. At the direction of Deputy 54 Engine 51-1, along with Engine 52-2 responded to assist. Deputy 54 arrived to find multiple vehicles and a trailer on fire. Engine 52-2 arrived and began fire attack, followed quickly by Engine 54-2 and Engine 51-1. West Chester crews assisted with extinguishment and overhaul before returning just after 0615.
