Around 1pm Station 51 was dispatched to the 500 block of Hannum Ave in West Chester Borough for an appliance fire. The initial call was for a fire contained inside a dryer. Engine 51-2 arrived on location to find a single story commercial building with smoke showing from side C. Crews stretched a 200' 1 3/4" hand-line, made entry to find a significant smoke condition in the building with fire in the rear. Crews extinguished burning materials, secured hazards, ventilated the property and returned available.
