FIRE POLICE NEEDED

The West Chester Fire Police are a special group of dedicated firefighter/members representing all three companies of the West Chester Fire Department.  We are looking for people who share our interest in serving the community through our support for the local Fire and police departments.

Our Primary role is to protect the fire department and other emergency services personnel at an incident as they aid the citizens of West Chester and surrounding communities by providing public safety services including but not limited to traffic control at the scene of an accident, crowd control on a fire scene, assist police department, traffic control and crowd control for public activities such as parades, races, fairs, etc, assist in searching for missing persons and establish warning barriers for hazardous conditions on roadways.

The West Chester Fire Police share the Good Will Station 52 fire station located at 552 East Union Street in West Chester.  In this location we house our emergency response vehicle and conduct all of our business.

To join the West Chester Fire Police you must first join one of the three fire companies in the Borough of West Chester, then they will send a letter of interest to the fire police and that will start the application process to join fire police.

Notice: Fire Police must be over the age of 18.

If you are interested in being a member of The First West Chester Fire Company you are welcome to come up to the fire house every Wednesday at 6:00 P.M. for general information and a tour.  Applications can be picked up during that time or you download a version of it. Please make all appointments and direct any question to membership@firstwestchester.org.
