This past Thursday, First West Chester Fire Company welcomed East Bradford Cub Scout Pack 86 to the station for fire prevention and a tour of the Engines and station.

A lucky (unlucky?) parent got to dress up in a full set of gear to demonstrate to the Cubs that Firefighters aren't scary at all.

3:18 PM the West Chester Borough Fire Department was dispatched to a reported brush fire in the 1200 block of Creek Road, Birmingham Township.

Crews arrived to find a large area of brush burning along the roadway which was extinguished without incident.

At 6:26 PM the West Chester Borough Fire Department, Good Fellowship Ambulance & EMS Training Institute and the Longwood Fire Company (RIT) were dispatched to 22 East Street Road for a reported building fire.

Crews arrived confirming the fire was out and checked the remainder of the property for any hazards.
